Contract of carriage
- Ballooning often requires teamwork from everyone involved. The balloon team will need your help setting up and packing away the balloon, provided you are physically able to do so!
- Passengers should be in good physical condition. Please inform the pilot of any health issues (heart, circulatory, lung, or joint conditions, recent surgeries, etc.) as early as possible, but no later than before the flight.
- The pilot in command is responsible for taking appropriate measures to maintain safety and order during takeoff, flight, landing, as well as setup and dismantling. All persons involved must follow the necessary instructions given by the pilot and crew.
- Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are excluded from transport.
- If you bring cameras or similar equipment, please ensure they can be safely stowed away for landing. No liability is accepted for any damage.
- Liability arising from the contract of carriage is governed by the German Aviation Act. The balloons of Ballonhafen Bad Griesbach GmbH are insured with a combined limit of 5.5 million to 10 million euros (depending on basket size) for personal injury and property damage per occurrence. By signing, the passenger confirms they have taken note of these terms and conditions.
- Any damage or claims for compensation must be reported and asserted to the carrier immediately. If the injured party is wholly or partially at fault, Section 254 of the German Civil Code (BGB) applies.
Safety instructions
- The pilot will give you a full safety briefing before the flight.
- Wear functional clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Sturdy footwear is mandatory, as we will be landing on rough terrain or meadows.
- SMOKING is prohibited within 20m of the balloon and the towing vehicle!
- Objects of any kind must not fall or be thrown out of the basket.
- During takeoff and landing, be sure to hold onto the handles inside the basket. Bend your knees slightly to absorb the impact, but do not sit on the floor.
- Do not leave the balloon basket after landing until the pilot explicitly asks you to do so!
